A classic 17th to early 18th century composition with lovers on an estate garden terrace. Here putti and with bows and arrows set the stage for the lovers- Mars in his armor with shield flirting with a semi draped Venus. This is a very old painting in its original frame. The gilt frame has worm holes which means it is old. It lends charm and credence to the age of the painting.
