Authentic antique William Ridgway & Co. Semi-China gravy boat/sauce boat in the timeless Blue Willow pattern. Features the classic 19th-century Chinoiserie transferware scene with a bridge, pagoda, weeping willow, and birds.
The underside bears the historic bow-and-quiver diamond registration stamp reading "Engraved for W. Ridgway & Co. Semi China." The inclusion of "England" dates this particular piece to circa 1891 or slightly later.
Condition: Excellent structural antique condition with absolutely NO chips, cracks, or repairs. The glaze is bright and intact. Please note there is localized internal staining in the bottom of the basin (see photos), which is common for earthenware of this era and could likely be lightened or removed with a gentle peroxide soak. Beautiful addition to any blue and white transferware collection!
